Why it’s not all about you
In times of crisis we often become self-absorbed. In other words, our focus and awareness narrows so much that all we can think about is ourselves, and how we are impacted by the current situation.
However, if we can be alert to and aware of what others may be going through and able to reach out to them despite our own problems and challenges then we may find genuine connection and the ability to help one another.
THE LESSON is we must be prepared to be vulnerable and reveal our true selves, our hopes and fears, differences and divisions, our dreams and desires, for others to do the same.
Have you retreated into a bubble and become more self-absorbed?
What might others around you be going through or feeling?
Can you share your hopes and fears and discuss your differences and divisions?
