Lao Tzu Advent is often more exciting than Christmas itself with the anticipation of celebrations and gifts to come.

What would it mean to be awake, aware, authentic and congruent every day?
What would you do differently? To be ready and willing to learn, to grow and to change and to BECOME who you were meant to be?
I truly believe we are on the verge of transformational change. People all around the world are expressing their dissatisfaction with the status quo. With the way that governments, organizations and leaders currently operate and behave.
We can no longer look to the self-appointed world and organizational leaders to look after our interests and to keep us safe. WE have to become the NEW LEADERS.
The true task for us ALL is to turn politics, economics and society on it’s head and to create a SHIFT away from self-interest, selfishness and greed and towards collaboration and true democracy.
Expanding consciousness in people – and organizations – is the only way that we will wake up and stop war, violence, hatred, poverty, hunger, disease, hopelessness, helplessness and the destruction of the earth itself.
Three Simple Steps
There are three simple steps to waking up, expanding consciousness and leading in this brave new world.
We need to:
- LISTEN – Learn the skills and to be open to hear and respond to what is happening all around us
- LEARN – Be willing to learn from our experiences of life and from others even when we fundamentally disagree with them.
- LOVE – Be prepared to show love and respect to all, no matter what their beliefs, race, creed or colour.
Simple but not easy!
These are the only methods that are capable of solving the order of problems that we now face. And YOU and I must demonstrate through our daily practice that this stuff works. Because what we know works on a human scale can also work globally.
As individuals we can be role models – we can model what ought to be happening through our lives and through our work.
Love is the answer there is no question
Albert Einstein wrote to his daughter about the universal force of love.
“If we want our species to survive, if we are to find meaning in life, if we want to save the world and every sentient being that inhabits it, love is the one and only answer.
Perhaps we are not yet ready to make a bomb of love, a device powerful enough to entirely destroy the hate, selfishness and greed that devastate the planet.
However, each individual carries within them a small but powerful generator of love whose energy is waiting to be released.
When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, dear Lieserl, we will have affirmed that love conquers all, is able to transcend everything and anything, because love is the quintessence of life………..”
