It has been great fun watching my granddaughters over the holidays and enjoying their energy and excitement.
And despite all the dire predictions for the future, I have a strong sense that I should follow their example and invest a bit more in ME in 2026.
Here are just some of the words that spring to mind and perhaps you can find your own combination of ME. Which would you choose and what words would you add?

When it comes to the future, whether that is 2026 or much more distant than that, I am constantly reminded that it’s up to us, to each and every one of us, what that future looks like and more importantly, what our attitude towards it is.
The arrival of a new year gives a fresh perspective and meaning to life, reminding us that we are only stewards of this earth and humanity during our time here.
Seven generation stewardship is a concept that urges the current generation of humans to live and work for the benefit of seven generations into the future.
It is believed to have originated with the Great Law of the Iroquois, so that in making decisions they should think seven generations ahead and decide whether the decisions they make today would benefit their descendants.
It is hard to imagine what our world might look like in seven generations time and yet that is not a good reason to focus only on making life better for ourselves.
As Al Siebert, author of “The Survivor Personality” writes that good synergy – the need to make the world a better place by devoting themselves to making it better for others – is a survivorship skill.
And so, I feel a renewed sense of inspiration to focus on future generations starting with my granddaughters and inspired by their natural focus on ME, but also imagining a time beyond their lifetimes too.
✅ Who or what inspires you to look beyond your own circumstances and lifetime?
✅ AND please do email me and let me know your own personal ME that will light the spark for you in 2026?
I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
